(1st Pennsylvania Rifles)
The Civil War dramatically changed the course of this nation's life and culture. It has been said that the CivilWar defined what we would become--good or bad, and to those individuals who gave up so much to fight for a cause they believed in, and especially to those brave souls who "gave their last full measure of devotion," we should be eternally indebted. We should not--we cannot--allow them, or their heritage to pass quietly into obscurity.

Welcome to the home page of Company B, 1st Pennsylvania Rifles, reenactment group, as well as a source for research material relating specifically to the original Bucktail Regiment. In addition to being known as the Bucktails, the regiment used several other designations: 13th PA Reserves, Kane's Rifle Regiment, 1st PA Rifles, & the 42nd PA Volunteer Infantry. The site is divided into 2 primary sections. One related to the reenactment group and the other dedicated entirely to Bucktail research. Both sections are works in progress inasmuch as I will add informationwhen I receive additional nformation so please stop back frequently.
